MISSION STATEMENT
Iowa BioDevelopment’s mission is 3-fold.
- Training – Iowa BioDevelopment is committed to providing high quality training for existing employees of biotechnology, biofuel, and value-added agricultural companies. Although we provided standardized training courses, our expertise is in developing custom training for businesses based on their individual needs, schedules, and specific applications.
- Outreach and Education – Iowa BioDevelopment is committed to the education of K-12 students, teachers (secondary and post-secondary), and the public on biotechnology, biofuels, and bioprocessing technology, principles, and career opportunities. Workforce development is a key to long term economic development of these business sectors. We accomplish this with activities/programs that spark student interests and imagination, provide educational tools for teachers, and generate support by the general public.
