These web-delivered training programs are designed to prepare technicians for plant floor success. Each training track consists of an individual compentancy evaluation. The results of which are used to design an individualized lesson plan that focuses on subject areas where a technician is deficient. • Maintenance Technician (78 courses)
• Plant Operation Technician (75 courses)
• Process Control Technician (11 courses)

• $600/person (for access to 1 library of courses for 1 year), or;
• $1,000/person (for access to all 3 libraries of courses for 1 year)

This is a 2 part course (approximately 45 min for each part) designed to provide a general overview of ethanol production, from preparation of raw materials (Part I) through distillation and co-product recovery (Part II). It is ideal for the new employee at an ethanol plant or for the general public to gain a basic understanding of what takes place in an ethanol plant.

• Preparation of raw materials (grinding, gelatinization, liquifaction, saccharification)
• Starch structure and metabolism using enzymes
• Yeast basics (growth requirements, growth phases, stresses)

• Basics of Fermentation (SSF, managmenet)
• Distillation (principles and equipment)
• Co-product Recovery (CO₂, distillers grains)
