Iowa BioDevelopment offers courses at the IBTC for HS and post-secondary teachers in the areas of renewable fuels, fermentation, bioethics, biodiesel, genetic engineering, forensics, genetically modified organisms, and other biotech topics. Courses are usually offered during June of each summer. All courses are 16 contact hours long so teacher/instructors can get either graduate or continuing education credit for the courses. Most of the courses are taught 2 days consecutively, but occasionally they are spread out over 4 half days.
